Maternity Chic...32 and 33 Weeks!

Hello loves, well I'm moving slower and slower these days. I'm counting down to my maternity leave and I think I have finally reached the point, that I need to slow down and take it easy. I still managed to have two fabulous nights out, but who knows, they might be the last for awhile.

32 weeks!

What I'm wearing:
Parker beaded tunic from Shopbop
David Lerner maternity leggings
Louis Vuitton black epi clutch
YSL black Tribtoos

33 weeks!

What I'm wearing:
DVF Lexi jacket
Gap maternity tank
David Lerner maternity leggings (yes I wear these A LOT!)
Chanel WOC
Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly Bootys

A lot of my blog and twitter followers have mentioned the surprise that I'm still able to wear heels at this point in my pregnancy. Surprisingly my feet tend to swell more when I'm in flats, then when I'm wearing heels for a few hours. I think not over doing it is key and putting my feet up every chance I get helps :)

Hope you all enjoy the pics!

Baby Shower...31 weeks!!!

Last Saturday was my baby shower :) I couldn't believe this day had come, seemed so far away. The fashionista goal was to be able to wear heels and yay I did it! It was a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends. Everyone is so excited for our little girl's arrival. She is already so loved and I can't wait to hold her in my arms.
Here are some pictures of the shower...

Weekend Getaway...La Jolla Shores

Last weekend hubs and I actually managed to escape from our every day lives and go on a mini vacation. We wanted rest and relaxation, so if course we went to my home away from home, La Jolla Shores. As mentioned in my last La Jolla post, my family has spent every summer there since I was born. La Jolla holds a lot of special childhood memories for me. It was a wonderful weekend of just doing whatever we wanted, for the first time in a long time we had no plans. We took a lot of walks, lounged by the pool and visited some of our favorite restaurants.
Here are a few quick pics of our great weekend.

On the Catwalk...Party Style

Hi everyone! Today is a new day, I am in a far better mood then yesterday. It honestly comes and goes, but if you want to read about how dark and gloomy I was; you can here.
Saturday night we went to a friend's 30th Birthday party. It was a lot of fun to spend the night with people we love and of course for me it was an excuse to dress up. I hadn't been out of the house in anything other then leggings in two weeks, so it was pretty exciting.

On the Catwalk...Christmas Style

Merry belated Christmas everyone! Christmas Eve we were at my in-laws, with my parents and some other guests. Looking back at these pics, my look turned out a bit more conservative then I was going for, but I guess I dressed according to the company :)

In an effort to not buy something new for every event, nothing I wore was new. In fact, they were all mostly a few years old.

What I'm wearing:
vintage Dior blouse- I found this in my mom's closet a few months ago and just really liked something about it.
Tahari black skirt with lace- I don't even know where this is from.
white wool and faux fur coat- I got this from Express YEARS ago for $40, it's so fab I love it.
Zara tights
Christian Louboutin Decolettes- My first pair; hub's bought for me from Saks in 2007.

On the Catwalk...Two Weeks, Two Weddings

Let me start by apologizing for my long absence from the blogger world. I was really sick and my personal life has been taking a lot more of my time and energy these days. To make it up to you all, you get two looks in one post today! We had two weddings to attend in two weeks. At the first wedding I was so ridiculously sick, I don't know how I managed to even get dressed. The second wedding was fun and I think I saw everyone I haven't seen in the last five years. We have one more wedding coming up, then a nice break until July 2011. Then it starts all over again :)

Wedding #1

Wedding #2
Photobucket

Photobucket

Look #1
DVF strapless black wool dress, bought from Nordstrom in 2004.
YSL black patent Tributes
Louis Vuitton balck epi clutch (not pictured)
Rhinestone flower ring from Forever 21

Look #2
Marc by Marc Jacobs dress, bought from Net-A-Porter in 2008.
Christian Louboutin Titi in multi glitter.
Louis Vuitton black epi clutch (not pictured)

As you can all see there is a pattern of shopping in my closet for both of these looks. There is a lot on my "Want List" and a new dress for every wedding did not make the cut. I recycled and did a little mix and match with some previous looks. The hubs was thrilled I didn't run out to buy a new dress, but he has officially banned the Marc Jacobs dress from coming back out for at least two years!

Happy Wednesday.

On the Catwalk...@ Rockwell

Friday night was our Best Man's birthday. We celebrated with about 100 of his closest friends at Rockwell in Hollywood. It's always fun to see everyone, but I was also excited to wear my new Elizabeth & James blazer with my new Rebecca Taylor leopard tank. Thanks to a small collection of Neiman's gift cards I had acquired, these purchases came out to be better then a "buy one get one free" deal.

The quality of these two pics are not great and my head is kind of chopped off in one, but I still love them because one of my besties decided to give me a little photoshoot :)

Not in a very chatty mood today, it's Monday, it's raining, I'd rather be home watching re-runs of The O.C. and the original 90210.....

On the Catwalk...Engagement Style

Saturday night was one of my very best friend's engagement party. She was one of my bridesmaids and we've known each other for YEARS. Bonus, her fiance is also one of my good friends and the hubs and him have a little bromance going on.
It was a gorgeous SoCal night and everything was so beautiful. Forgive me for the lack of scenery pictures. Sky high heels, champagne and grass do not work with me very well. I tried to stay in one area as long as possible and I'm really proud of myself for not falling down once.
We had a fabulous night with close friends, dancing, toasting and celebrating. So happy for the beautiful couple, can't wait for the wedding!

On the Catwalk....Company Gala

Saturday night was my company's 20th Anniversary Gala. It was a great event, the venue was beautiful and the planning committee really did a fabulous job. There were over 500 people in attendence and it's always nice to see everyone dressed up and outside of work.
The whole night flew by very quickly, but hubs my wonderful photographer did manage to take a few quick pics of my outfit.

Fashion's Night Out, LA Part 2

Hi everyone! It has been ages since my last post I know. Before I get into my night at the DVF Fshion's Night Out event, check out the first half of my night on Fashion Face!

So after dragging the hubs around Beverly Center for a few hours and sitting through a fashion show (thank you baby), we headed over to Melrose, to check out the DVF event.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Quite a few people there and more arriving throughout the night. They had a bar set up with Champagne, White wine, water, cupcakes and little appetizers. One of the best food spreads we'd seen all night.

Me sipping Champagne...yes out of a pink can with a pink straw, so cute
Photobucket

Pretty stylish crowd as expected, the sales associates were not as friendly as they normally are but I'm sure they were pretty tired from smiling and greeting all night long.

I was really hoping to buy something, since the invite said there would be a gift with purchase. I was totally disappointed to find out the gift was a DVF eye mask. Sorry but while I appreciate designer goods, I could buy an eye mask from Target for $2.99. If I'm spending over $300, I'd like something a little more fab to keep as a memento of Fashion's Night Out.

Overall, it was a fun and exhausting night. Strutting around in 6 inch heels can be quite a workout.
Hubby's reward for putting up with it all? Going to Hot Wings Cafe for a very late dinner :)

Special thanks to Erika for asking me to do a guest post on Fashion Face.
