On the Job...Because I'm bored

I'm currently on a business trip and seriously bored out of my mind. So I have decided to share two goodies. The first, Rebecca Minkoff Special Order MAC in black patent. I paid for this back in October and it just arrived now. I had actuallt forgotten about it lol.

I love this bag because I can wear it as a shoulder bag, cross body or as a clutch. The black patent quilted MAC is the closest I will get to this for the forseeable future.

The beauties below are a result of what happens when I spend the day at Fashion Island with my mom, help her pick out stunning earrings to buy with her $50 Neiman's gift card, subsequently find these GORGEOUS earrings and hear the sales lady say she will honor the $50 gift card for these too, so mom was nice enough to buy them for me! Alexis Bittar Montauk Wave Link earrings. They are so Miami circa Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface. I can't wait to wear them in the summer time!

Going Nude

Photobucket

I had been on the waitlist for these beauties for a few months at the Christian Louboutin Southcoast Plaza boutique. I was a little disappointed to hear they wouldn't be arriving for quite awhile. All my Spring/Summer outfits planned around these shoes would not be able to be worn. Then thanks to the wonderful world of The Purse Forum, one of my fellow CL obsessed friends informed me that the Madison boutique got their shipment! I was at work and in a total panic that I would miss out on the shoes, so of course dear hubby of mine came to the rescue. He called and bought the shoes over the phone and had them shipped to his office. Here they are! Can't wait to wear them out!

The Most Comfortable Heels Ever!

Photobucket

I feel like I'm cheating on Msr. Louboutin, but I cannot hide my excitement about these gorgeous beauties. After contemplating for over a year and hearing so many girls say they are really comfortable, I had to give them a try. So I headed to Neiman's and tried on the YSL Tribute Platfrom Sandals in Black Patent. No joke, they feel like you are walking on a cloud! I don't know what it is and I don't really care. I could wear these all day long. They are perfect for summer and go with so many different outfits. Being 5'7 I thought I'd feel like a glamazon in these 5 inch plus platforms, but thankfully I don't feeling like I'm towering over everyone and even better I do not feel like the leaning tower of Pisa ready to tip over at any given moment lol. I am really picky when it comes to what I slip onto my feet, but the YSL Tributes definitely get my approval!

A Little bit of Lace & Leather

My flats are usually reserved for work, but these beauties were just too special to pass up. I had originally seen them in Elle magazine in February and made a mental note to keep an eye out for them. Then when I went to NYC earlier this month, I stepped off the elevator at Bergdorf's and they were literally the first thing that caught my eye. The Christian Louboutin "Air Loub" Lace flats literally feel like you are walking on air. I LOVE them, so pretty and chic. I can dress them up or down which is the best part, but these beauties will never be worn to work. They deserve to be out in the beautiful sunlight, not hidden under a desk for 8 hours.

This Leifsdottir studded leather mini was a great sale find at Neiman's. I have been wanting a leather skirt since fall, but none of them seemed quite right...until now. The leather feels like butter and is not too short or too long. It will be debuted this weekend when we go out for hubby's birthday, outfit post will follow.

Hope this is the start of a great week!

On the Job...Spring Essentials for Less

Over the weekend, I decided to check out the new location of Blush in Calabasas. The Encino location is convenient after my pilates class, but Calabasas is closer to home. I found two casual pieces that are essential for Spring. I had seen similar styles at Bloomies, but for much more.

White cotton button down shirt/tunic with mini pleat detailing for $48.

Similar look for $125 at Bloomies

Also found the softest striped racer back tank for $28

Similar look for $118

Some pieces for your wardrobe, spending more is worth it. If it's a timeless classic or a unique peice go for it and splurge. But basics like this that get worn out or you might get bored with, it is always wise to look for the similar styles for less.

xoxo.

Friday Lust List...Update

TGIF! I am so over winter and I cannot wait to SPRING forward this weekend! I am such a happier person when the sun is out and the weather is warm. My white legs have been in hiding for the passed few months and desperately need some sunlight.
Well anyway, I'm lusting after anything and every Springy. I am sick and tired of sweaters, boots and coats. Hello Weather Gods please let us keep the warmth and sunshine. I'm over these, the flats are just to blinged out and I tried the skirt of the dress while in NYC and I felt like a bird.
Two out of four of these are on the way. No not the CLs sadly. My lovely mother bought me the Anthropologie dress and thanks to Bloomies credit and $50 off the Ivory version of the Rebecca Taylor blouse is en route as we speak!

I will post some On the Job posts to reveal my new goodies soon!

Happy Friday!

On the job- Black Friday shopping!

Yes I am crazy and I actually like to go shopping on Black Friday. And yes I did actually drag my poor husband along too. I don’t know what it is, but I truly feel like it’s the first day of the holiday season and I get really excited. I don’t necessarily shop, but I like to see all the people out and about. Our day started at 8am when hubs actually dragged me to a hardware store for some crazy early morning deals. He was very excited and it was cute. I on the other hand, was probably the only female in that entire store and had all these middle-aged men looking at me wondering wtf I was doing there at 8am. This part of our adventure was over rather quickly, considering we knew exactly what we were there for, found it, paid for it and we were out. Next we were off to what hubs refers to as my second home. All I really was looking for was a LBD to dress up or down for all the various holiday events coming up. The Neiman’s Black Friday sale was pretty disappointing. The sale racks were pretty packed, but the discount was nothing to get excited about. This was however a blessing in disguise because we stumbled upon this boutique right outside of Neiman’s that I had never even seen before. I saw this black dress in the window and it was even cuter on. Not only did I love it a lot more then anything I tried on at Neiman’s, but at $50 it was also a fraction of the price of any of the other dresses. Woohoo for me! This picture doesn't capture the details of the skirt. It is strapless and the skirt is all little square pieces of fabric all together. It actually reminded me this skirt from Ann Taylor
Like I said, it is so much cuter on. I will post more pictures when I wear it out this weekened!

Out on the job- Sale hunting!

Every year at this time the crème de la crème of professional shoppers are out and about scouring the department stores and designer boutiques trying to find the best for the least. That’s right, it’s fall designer sales time. While we are just barely getting our first glimpse of winter here in SoCal, designers are already geared up for resort, cruise and spring collections. Good news for us! With marked downs up to 40% off (higher mark downs as we roll into the end of December and January) who can resist a few new pairs of shoes? I sure can’t. Take a look at what I scored this sale season from Barneys, Bluefly and Nordies. I have realized that while I do not have an addiction to cigarettes, alcohol or sex....I definitely have an addiction to Christian Louboutin shoes. Enjoy the photos, I like to refer to them as shoe porn; once you start there's no stopping you. Look slowly because the self inflicted shoe ban is in full affect as of last week.
