On the Catwalk...Christmas Style

Merry belated Christmas everyone! Christmas Eve we were at my in-laws, with my parents and some other guests. Looking back at these pics, my look turned out a bit more conservative then I was going for, but I guess I dressed according to the company :)







In an effort to not buy something new for every event, nothing I wore was new. In fact, they were all mostly a few years old.

What I'm wearing:
vintage Dior blouse- I found this in my mom's closet a few months ago and just really liked something about it.
Tahari black skirt with lace- I don't even know where this is from.
white wool and faux fur coat- I got this from Express YEARS ago for $40, it's so fab I love it.

Christian Louboutin Decolettes- My first pair; hub's bought for me from Saks in 2007.

On the Catwalk...Happy 4th of July!

In honor of our country's day of Independence, this post is a little "old school". I'm sure my outfit and the scenery played a part in it as well, but I look like I'm headed to a poolside party in the 70s. Specifically in Hawaii, at least that is what came to mind when I first saw these pics.

Sale season is here!

It's that time again, it only happens twice a year and I am usually so excited! However I am still trying to accomplish my 3 Month Challenge and I will be going to Vegas in 3 weeks! So I will shop vicariously through all of you.

Barneys Pre-Sale starts Tuesday the 25th, 40% off!
Saks Pre-Sale starts Wednesday the 26th, 30% off!
Neiman's is being super tight lipped about the official start date of Pre-Sale (which will be 30% off). It is either the 26th or the 27th.

Stop Fake Christian Louboutin

You all know I am a huge fan of Msr. Louboutin and his gorgeous red soles. This is not about being a snob or a label wh*re, this is about the honest fact that buying fake products directly contributes to terrible working conditions and child labor.

Sure you may feel that buying that knock off Louis Vuitton from Canal Street isn't hurting anyone, but that loss of $1000 trickles down to promoting child labor and other illegal activities.

If you are lusting after a designer pair of shoes or handbag, save up for it and scout the sales each season. You can always find a fabulous pair of shoes or a great bag at any of the designer sales at Barneys, Neiman's, Nordstrom, Saks etc. Amazing deals are also always popping up online at The Out Net, Gilt, Blue Fly and many more.
