Divine Design Gala

Photobucket

December 1st was the 19th Annual Divine Design Gala at the Beverly Hilton hotel. Divine Design is a wonderful shopping event and all the proceeds benefit Project Angel Food's mission to nourish the body and spirit of adults and children affected by HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses.

Designers such as Brooks Brothers, Diane Von Furstenberg, Elizabeth & James, Nanette Lepore, Tom Ford, Trina Turk, True Religion and many more were sponsors whose designs were all on sale for 50% off!

Thanks to one of my fabulous besties Cara (Travel Agent Extaordinaire), I was invited to attend this wonderful event with her. We were really excited to see some of the celebs that would be there, specifically Brad Goreski (aka former Rachel Zoe side kick). Being a fashionista myself, I was dying for a picture with Brad. I know you all would have loved to see such a great photo op, but I chickened out lol. So this is the closest we got...

Brad was wearing Brooks Brothers of course and I'd like to add that he is literally the size of one of my well toned pilates legs. I don't like guys being thinner then me, something just seems really wrong about that. We also noticed that Brad appears to have acquired a new side kick for himself. She's in the first picture above wearing the beige dress and Chanel pumps. Could there possibly be a Brad Goreski Project in the works?

There were a few people recognized for their hard work and dedication to Project Angel Food. One of these honorees was Kelly Osbourne.

Brad was also on hand to introduce the Brooks Brothers Spring fasion show

After the gala, it was back to more shopping and celeb spotting. We saw Brandy, David Arquette (yuck), Debi Mazar, Eric McCormack, Lily Collins and some SNL people (sorry I'm not familiar). I'm sure there were a lot more that we just didn't see, there were A LOT of people.

We had a fantastic time. It was great to spend some quality time with one of my nearest and dearest, it was long over due!

Happy Friday!

Oscars Fashion Round up, My Top Five

Last night was the 82nd Academy Awards. Thanks to DVR, I actually watched more then just the pre-show and was able to see Sandra Bullock's first Oscar win! I am not also intrigued enough to watch The Hurt Locker. But this post is about fashion,so without further adieu here is my top five fashion picks (in no particular order).

Photobucket
Sandra Bullock wore a shimmering gold gown by Marchesa. Loved the gown, the hair not so much.

Vera Farmiga wore a fuchsia pleated ruffles gown by Marchesa. I think the color is beautiful and the details are unique.

Demi Moore looked stunning in a neutral-tone Versace gown. Nude is one of the hottest colors for the season, Demi proved you don't need bright colors to be ready for Spring.

Photobucket
Rachel McAdams looked beautiful in a watercolor Elie Saab gown. I love her and she rarely goes wrong with her choices in fashion.

Kristen Stewart has definitely uped her fashion game in this past year. I think she looked very glamorous in her custom created navy trumpet gown by Monique Lhullier.

Special honorary mention for SJP. I can't decide if I actually love her Chanel Haute Couture dress or not. I do not like her hairstyle.

Lasty, how hot does Molly Ringwald look? Wow!
