I have come to the conclusion that I always end up loving DVF's Spring collections more then Fall. This has proved to be correct for the past three years. I have been a huge fan of Madame Von Furstenberg's for quite some time. I have acquired a small collection over the past few years as previously mentioned. Here are some of my favorites that are all available for pre-order now on the DVF website.
Amman Dress in Multi. Love the beading and the retro feel this dress has. Just need some platforms and bangles for a perfect outfit.
Darina Dress in Tribal Daisy Bands Yellow. This dress is so boho chic. It is so flowy and makes me want to put flowers in my hair. It would be a super fab prego dress as well. One day....
Mademoiselle X Dress in Tribal Daisy Bands Blue. Really like the color combo here. I like the gathered look and how it is flowy, but still form fitting.
Swann Dress in Palace Tiger Green. This one might be my favorite. I love the color and the chiffon ruffle skirt. I need to wear this dress and go back to Miami. My only concern is that I aready own three DVF dresses in different shades of blue. How many is too many?
Milton Dress in Nude. This dress would look so smokin hot with a tan. I love the simple sexiness of it. Unfortunately I think I would be spilling out of it and it would not work for me. If I was more of an orange girl, then a grapefruit girl this dress would be beautiful.
So there you have it. My Friday Lust List. I'm going to try and do this every Friday. Since there is always something new I'm lusting after, it shouldn't be a problem.
Happy Friday!

New York I Love You
Photo found here
Just got confirmation, that I am headed to NYC in 23 days!!!! My lovely friend, the Travel Agent Extraordinaire, is going on a business trip and guess who is meeting her there?! That's right me! The Shopaholic, who is supposed to be on a ban will be let loose in NYC without any supervision. God help me, or more so, God help my dear understanding husband. This trip came up out of no where and is an opportunity I just cannot pass up. Not only do I get to go on a fabulous trip with one of my very best friends, go out to great dinners, have amazing photo shoots, shop.... but look at where we are staying!!!! We will be staying here for two nights and then one night here. I am beyond excited! I will have quite a bit of time to spend alone, which I actually think will be fun. Just to walk around and check things out and really absorb it all. The last time I was there in March '09, hubby and I spent a lot of time sight seeing and really had to stick to a schedule. I don't think there will be a lot of sight seeing this time, maybe a museum or I'll go back to St. Patrick's Cathedral which is soooo beautiful! Conviently, it is located across from Saks :). I am a total planner, so I need to think of which stores I want to attack and when. I know I want to do 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue one day and then The Meatpacking District the following day. Hopefully travel agent business wont take up too much time and the Travel Agent Etraordinaire can join me on most of these fashion adventures. I don't have a set idea of what I want to buy, other then a pair of CLs from the boutique on Madison or on Horatio. Maybe a pair of exotics, since they are illegal in SoCal and I want to be a little badass lol. I will keep you all posted on any updates as we get closer to the date!

Rain, Rain Go Away!
Photo found here.
Let's face it, SoCal residence do not know how to handle rain. Literally our days get turned upside down because it is raining. We all forget how to drive, your mom tells you to stay home because a tree might fall on your car and doing anything other then what is completely necessary goes out the window. I know how bad we needed rain, but I hate it! It totally messes me up. All I want to do is curl up on the couch and stuff my face with food. Who seriously wants to drive to Pilates in this weather? Not me! I am not my usual self in this weather, I'm in a huge rain funk.
But tomorrow is a new day. If the weather goes according to plan we should be looking forward to a partially sunny day. I'll take what I can get. My mom and I will be heading over to South Coast Plaza to meet some friends for a mother daughter lunch. I LOVE South Coast, but considering I am on a self inflicted ban it is going to be very painful and difficult to walk around salivating over all the goodies and not buy anything. I'm going to be good I promise! Maybe I will pick things out for my mom, that is always a good distraction. The rain better go away, driving to the OC in rain will not be fun, but I am optimistic. I think I see the sun we all love so much trying to push through the clouds. Slowly but surely.
Happy Friday! xoxo

Playing Cupid
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I have been inspired to play cupid. The dilemma is how to handle this delicate situation. The girl is one of my oldest friends, been like sisters since we were 5 years old. She is seriously beautiful inside and out. She comes off as very strong and independent, but deep down I know she is just afraid of getting hurt. She has been single for over 5 years now and although she is totally ready to be with someone, has had horrible luck and has really given up on finding love. The guy is a friend of the hubs. They don't see each other often or talk that often but when they do see each other they always enjoy hanging out. He is a bad boy turned cop, who like her comes off very strong borderline cold. In reality he is super shy and just hasn't been lucky in love. With the help of his sister-in-law, we are trying to coordinate this potential love match. The options are....A) Tell them both about the set up and plan a triple date. This is so not a good idea in my opinion because one or both of them are likely to say no and/or triple date with a blind date mixed in can be very awkward! B) Do not tell either one of them, have a small get together at my house, invite them both and hope they hit it off. I think this is the best option, even though one or both of them could potentially flake and not show up at the last minute. I'm not usually the meddling friend, but I can so see these two hitting it off. Even more so, when the guy's own brother thinks it's a great idea. Does anyone have any advice for how to approach this? Have you ever tried playing cupid?

Still a Barbie Girl in a Barbie World
I have loved Barbies for as long as I can remember. Many childhood memories include Barbie weddings, fashion shows, photo shoots...yes I did all of these things. When I finally realized I was getting too old to play with them any longer, my mom and I packed them all up nicely and stored them away. They are all still waiting for me to pick them up from my parents' garage, but in the mean time the most special of them all has arrived! My CL Collector's edition Barbie in honor of Barbie's 50th Birthday. I had previously posted about snagging the 50th Birthday CLs in my size and now I have the mini ones for Barbie. This is the first doll in a series of 4 and I can't wait to see what the rest look like.
While I would NEVER suggest any one do this to themselves in order to look like a

Hello, my Name is SoCal Fashionista and I'm a Shopaholic.
It has been 24 days since my last purchase and I'm going crazy. The last gorgeous addition to my closet were these beauties. Since then I haven't even bought a nail polish and I have found it easier to talk myself out of buying something I don't really love or need. Don't get me wrong, I did A LOT of damage this past sale season but since all the holiday parties are over, there isn't much on the horizon as far as events to dress up for go. Plus, I recently became credit card debt free. This had been a HUGE burden on my shoulders for a few years now and it is finally over. With that, comes the new desire to never get into such a deep hole again. Believe me it was a VERY dark and deep hole I never want to visit again.
But on to lighter more exciting subjects, all the Spring fashions are so breezy and romantic, I can't wait for all the Spring/Summer events (whatever they may be) to come around. Since this new year brings the attitude of "only buy what you can really pay for", I will have to pick and choose what I really love and also save up for anything I must have. So until I do make another purchase, take a look at my Lust List.
I love this dress! It is even prettier in person. I think it would look so great with a beautiful pair of statement shoes and a tan. The possibilities are endless to dress it up for day or night.
This top is just so flirty and fun. I love the ruffles, but the cotton material keeps it from being stuffy and too formal.
Both pieces are from Anthropologie.
LOVE Rebecca Taylor and I adore this beautiful top. I do have a Bloomingdale's coupon and some credit to use....
Saving the best for last

These CL Toissons are to die for! I love them! I don't know which color, but I think I need to have these in my closet for Wedding season. MUST save for these!!!!

Wedding Style
I just finished reading Vision in White, which is the first book of four in The Bride Quartet by Nora Roberts. Since I am clearly taking a trip down memory lane, I decided to share some of my beautiful wedding photos with all of you. Let me start by saying I had the most amazing photographer in all of SoCal. Hoffmann Photographer is brilliant and made selecting my favorite photos a very difficult task. I can't wait to have another memorable event that he can document so beautifully for me.
I was his first Louboutin bride and we were both so excited they photographed so beautifully.
.
It was the most amazing day of my life and the best part of all was that from that day forward, I have come home to my best friend every day. I know what a lucky girl I am and I thank God everyday.
I do miss all the dress shopping though......can't wait to have another one of my girls get married so I can go again!

Been Bit by the Travel Bug
The past two years have been filled with quite a bit of travel and many weddings (including my own). Some of the highlights include the following....
My Bachelorette Party in South Beach (June 2008)
I can never get tired of Miami, I love it there. We were 8 girls and had the best time. Thanks to the Travel Agent to the Stars, The Alleged Ringleader, we spent 4 amazing nights at the gorgeous Tides on Ocean Drive.
Our Honeymoon in St. Lucia (July 2008)
It was the perfect honeymoon. Tropical paradise is the best description. We stayed the Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort. There aren't enough words to explain how beautiful it was.
Our first trip to NYC (March 2009)
Best Friend's Bachelorette Party in Vegas (September 2009)
Looking ahead at 2010, there is only one wedding on my calendar and a lot of free time left to plan some trips. My mind is all over the place. I want to go to New York again, then Miami (for the 4th time), and of course good old Vegas. Europe is out of the question until the dollar gains back some of it's strength, it makes no sense to fly all the way there and pay close to double for my shoes. Most of the country is probably freezing right now, but here in lovely SoCal it's 75 degrees today. I'm ready to put on my bikini and sip on a drink poolside.
In reality, I don't know where we'll actually end up going this year. Being a home owner means we need a new roof and possibly a new backyard fence this year. It sucks, but they are necessities to keep a roof over our heads and to keep the neighbor's a-hole dog on their side of the fence. Until we decide, I get to fantasize in my head thinking of what to pack and where to go.....

On the Catwalk- NYE 2009
Happy New Year everyone! To start off 2010, I'm going to go back a few days and show you all my New Year's Eve outfit. I know you have seen the dress before, but the shoes make up for it! My sexy husband and I went out to dinner at BLT in West Hollywood. The food was amazing and it was so nice to see people dressed up for the holiday. I felt like we were out of town on vacation. It was wonderful to have a romantic dinner for two, but looking around at all the groups of friends and family having champagne together kind of made us wish some of our friends had come along. After dinner we went over to a friend's house to drink more champagne, play some games, watch the ball drop in Times Square (on TV sadly) and welcome the New Year. It was a perfect New Year's Eve. I got to dress up for dinner, eat delicious food with my hubby and see at least some of my friends before midnight.
I hope 2010 is an amazing year for everyone, so far hasn't started off too bad....
