On the Catwalk... Hubby's Birthday Part Deux!
Every year the hubs and his childhood friend who share the same birthdate, have a huge joint birthday celebration. Birthday #32 was no exception. We had reserved a small restaurant in Sherman Oaks for the private party for the 2 Birthday boys and about 100 of their closest friends. They both had a blast and are already talking about what to do next year. Boys will be boys.
But now on to more important things, like what I'm wearing :) This post is pretty picture heavy because I just couldn't decide which to include.
please excuse my black bra from peaking out lol
What I'm wearing:
Turquoise tank from Blush
Black leather skirt by Leifsdottir from Neiman's
Christian Louboutin ADs
Rebecca Minkoff purple iguana MAC w/ Triple Chain
Alexis Bittar turquoise earrings from Gilt

On the Catwalk...Hubby's Birthday!
The weekend Birthday festivities started with a dinner for two at Cecconi's in West Hollywood. I love the decor of this restaurant. I literally wanted to steal some chairs, lol. Anyway we had great food, people watched, critiqued some poor fashion choices and had a great time. This was an ease into the weekend, because part deux which is tonight will not be so mellow. Good thing I took a nap :)
What I'm wearing:
DVF dress, Spring '08 collection
Christian Louboutin black suede Altadamas
Louis Vuitton black epi clutch (sorry no pics)

A Little bit of Lace & Leather
My flats are usually reserved for work, but these beauties were just too special to pass up. I had originally seen them in Elle magazine in February and made a mental note to keep an eye out for them. Then when I went to NYC earlier this month, I stepped off the elevator at Bergdorf's and they were literally the first thing that caught my eye. The Christian Louboutin "Air Loub" Lace flats literally feel like you are walking on air. I LOVE them, so pretty and chic. I can dress them up or down which is the best part, but these beauties will never be worn to work. They deserve to be out in the beautiful sunlight, not hidden under a desk for 8 hours.
This Leifsdottir studded leather mini was a great sale find at Neiman's. I have been wanting a leather skirt since fall, but none of them seemed quite right...until now. The leather feels like butter and is not too short or too long. It will be debuted this weekend when we go out for hubby's birthday, outfit post will follow.
Hope this is the start of a great week!
xoxo

Friday Lust List...Some Missions Completed
Yay it's Friday! More importantly Spring is here and the weather in SoCal is awesome right now. This is why we live here. I was lucky enough to mark some items off my lust list in the past few months. Some items were replaced by others....
Anthropologie dress, last seen here.
Perfect Spring wardrobe addition just in time for wedding season.
Rebecca Taylor top last seen here. So happy I got this top when Bloomies was having their HOT promotion, so I got $50 off! They were out of the pretty blue, but I realized I have a lot of blue and "oatmeal" turned out to be a pale blush pink, which is so pretty. Yay for me!
And a FAB sale find at Neiman's
I originally wanted this dress, but it was just not for me. Then when I saw the Erosa Dress in Miranda Ruffles Mini ON SALE it was the perfect replacement. Love it!
That's all for now, modeling pics of these gorgeous pieces will be coming soon. Happy Friday!

On the Job...Spring Essentials for Less
Over the weekend, I decided to check out the new location of Blush in Calabasas. The Encino location is convenient after my pilates class, but Calabasas is closer to home. I found two casual pieces that are essential for Spring. I had seen similar styles at Bloomies, but for much more.
White cotton button down shirt/tunic with mini pleat detailing for $48.
Similar look for $125 at Bloomies
Also found the softest striped racer back tank for $28
Similar look for $118
Some pieces for your wardrobe, spending more is worth it. If it's a timeless classic or a unique peice go for it and splurge. But basics like this that get worn out or you might get bored with, it is always wise to look for the similar styles for less.

Friday Lust List...Update
TGIF! I am so over winter and I cannot wait to SPRING forward this weekend! I am such a happier person when the sun is out and the weather is warm. My white legs have been in hiding for the passed few months and desperately need some sunlight.
Well anyway, I'm lusting after anything and every Springy. I am sick and tired of sweaters, boots and coats. Hello Weather Gods please let us keep the warmth and sunshine. I'm over these, the flats are just to blinged out and I tried the skirt of the dress while in NYC and I felt like a bird.
Two out of four of these are on the way. No not the CLs sadly. My lovely mother bought me the Anthropologie dress and thanks to Bloomies credit and $50 off the Ivory version of the Rebecca Taylor blouse is en route as we speak!
I will post some On the Job posts to reveal my new goodies soon!
Happy Friday!

Oscars Fashion Round up, My Top Five
Last night was the 82nd Academy Awards. Thanks to DVR, I actually watched more then just the pre-show and was able to see Sandra Bullock's first Oscar win! I am not also intrigued enough to watch The Hurt Locker. But this post is about fashion,so without further adieu here is my top five fashion picks (in no particular order).
Sandra Bullock wore a shimmering gold gown by Marchesa. Loved the gown, the hair not so much.
Vera Farmiga wore a fuchsia pleated ruffles gown by Marchesa. I think the color is beautiful and the details are unique.
Demi Moore looked stunning in a neutral-tone Versace gown. Nude is one of the hottest colors for the season, Demi proved you don't need bright colors to be ready for Spring.
Rachel McAdams looked beautiful in a watercolor Elie Saab gown. I love her and she rarely goes wrong with her choices in fashion.
Kristen Stewart has definitely uped her fashion game in this past year. I think she looked very glamorous in her custom created navy trumpet gown by Monique Lhullier.
Special honorary mention for SJP. I can't decide if I actually love her Chanel Haute Couture dress or not. I do not like her hairstyle.
Lasty, how hot does Molly Ringwald look? Wow!

On the Catwalk...South Gate
On our last night in NYC, we were invited to have dinner at South Gate in the famous Jumeriah Essex House on Central Park South. The Travel Agent Extraordinaire is friends with a lot of people and loved by many. So she scored not only a tour of the hotel for us, but also a dinner invitation :). South Gate was beautiful, the food and presentation were pretty fabulous too.
Entrance
Bar
Glass wall of wine
Beautiful image of Central Park
We were so exhausted by this point, so we had an early night. So full and our feet really looked hot, but felt like this...

On the Catwalk...Sixty Thompson Hotel
So our second night started here and then continued over at the Sixty Thompson Hotel in SoHo.
We went to check out Thom Bar. It was so pretty and we had a blast.
Love this chandeleir
Travel Agent Extraordinaire enjoying her drink...
I obviously had a fab time
And of course some Louboutin love, red soles shoe p*rn
If we were sober and therefore using our brains, this would have been the end of our night. Since we were totally not sober, this is what I ended up doing at about 3am.
we HATED ourselves the next day...and the following
In case you missed what I wore in the previous entry, here you go:
Top- silky tank from Blush in Encino
Pants- Vince from Neiman's
Shoes- Black Suede Alta Damas by Christian Louboutin
Clutch- Louis Vuitton black epi
Necklace- Chanel
Xoxo
P.S. I so have a case of the Mondays :(
