Valentine's Day was extra special this year. Not because traffic was better then usual, because it wasn't. Not because the lingerie department at Nordies was not filled with frantic husbands trying to buy last minute gifts, because they most certainly were. It was extra special because one of my best friends got engaged! I was so happy to be able to celebrate with her and her new fiance. They had dinner at The Bazaar in the SLS Hotel and we joined them afterwards for drinks.
Just realized I don't have any of our group shots available. Will add them asap!

Happy Friday!

On the Catwalk...Valentine's Style
Saturday night the hubs and I celebrated Valentine's Day with a delicious dinner at Crustacean in Beverly Hills. OMG, I had never been there before and wow the food was amazing! The decor was beautiful and most importantly the service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back!
I was really looking forward to going out and having a great time together. I was also thrilled to wear my new DVF "Lexi" jacket for the first time. Originally saw her at full price in September and patiently waited until sale season. Late December I strolled into Neiman's and there she was; crammed into a sale rack I spotted her from a mile away. I ran and grabbed her and could not believe that not only was she my size, but on sale plus an additional mark down! I practically ran over the sales lady as I headed to the register lol. Sorry for the dramatics, but I am sooooo excited to own this jacket!
What I wore:
DVF "Lexi" jacket- Neiman Marcus
Black silky tank- Blush
JBrand Venom waxed skinnies- Neiman Marcus
Christian Louboutin Rouge Biancas- Blue Fly
Chanel necklace
P.S. I also got a hair cut! My stylist chopped off quite a bit, but he still refused to cut as much as I wanted him too.
Happy Valentine's Day!
xoxo

On the Catwalk...Weekend Style
Saturday night we had dinner plans with some of my childhood family friends. Our parents are all friends and we have spent every Labor Day weekend for as long as I can remember together. Now that we are all married, we don't live very close to each other but try to get together every few months. I really was not in the mood to go out, but did not want to cancel since I don't get to see them very often.
My outfit kind of reflects my mood, gloomy. But at least I wore some fabulous shoes :)
what I wore:
Grey leather jacket with studs- Nordstrom
Black top- Blush boutique
J Brand grey jeggings- Nordstrom's Rack
Louis Vuitton black epi clutch (not pictured)
Christian Louboutin watersnake Altadamas, last seen here.
Hope everyone is having a great week!

On the Catwalk...Party Style
Hi everyone! Today is a new day, I am in a far better mood then yesterday. It honestly comes and goes, but if you want to read about how dark and gloomy I was; you can here.
Saturday night we went to a friend's 30th Birthday party. It was a lot of fun to spend the night with people we love and of course for me it was an excuse to dress up. I hadn't been out of the house in anything other then leggings in two weeks, so it was pretty exciting.
what I wore:
Grey leather jacket with studs- Nordstrom
Black ruffle dress- Urban Outfitters. Last seen here.
Brian Atwood OTK Barettas- Shoe In. Last seen here.
Louis Vuitton Epi clutch (not pictured)
Thank you all for the kind and loving words of encouragement yesterday, through Twitter and also in blog comments. Truly means a lot to me.

Speaking from the Heart
Hi everyone, things have gotten really slow in my blog world and that's because things in my real world have gotten hectic. I try to keep this blog light and airy full of fashion and fun. So when fashion is actually the last thing on my mind, it's hard to find the energy to post. I'm going through some personal things, that I honestly never imagined I'd be dealing with in my life. I'm thankful to have a loving family, friends and above all the most amazing man I have ever had the privilege to know by my side. But sometimes even all the love and support, can't make you feel better. When life doesn't go how you thought it would, you begin to doubt and question every decision and choice you've made in the past. I try to live without regret, but at times like this how do I not just question everything?
I'm not giving up on what I want in life, it's not my style. But right now I feel like I am stuck, can't move forward until I feel like me again. I can't fight for what I want again, until I feel like there is fight in me to keep fighting.
I feel broken, I feel lost and I feel like I'm stuck in a bad dream. I know it's not fair to those who love me to watch me fall apart, but right now I don't feel like I have control of it. Things WILL get better, I believe that. I WILL feel better, I know that. But today, I'm just trying to pick up the pieces, put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.
