This weekend was full of events! Friday night, we celebrated one of our friend's birthday's at Bodega Wine Bar. I was a little over dressed for Santa Monica, but I didn't care. Dying to take my Madame Butterfly Booties out for their debut.

On the Catwalk...Wedding Style

This past Saturday was the first of 6 weddings we have coming up! I was excited to finally wear my Herve Leger dress that I found for a steal on The Outnet with my CL Multi Glitter Titis that I bought from the signing in April.

Gossip Girl Parisian Style

Every where I look all signs are pointing to the fact that I WILL be in Paris next Summer. So excited to see Blake Lively filming scenes for Gossip Girl in Paris. Take a look at these amazing outfits, what I'd do for a day in this wardrobe department!

photo and more info found here

Loving the beautiful emerald green ruffle dress, looks like the same amazing green as Carrie's Lanvin dress at the end of SATC 2. Also loving the cobalt blue cropped pants with the gold sequin blazer and of course the studded Atwoods SWOON!

These pics make me excited for the return of Gossip Girl in the Fall. I'm ready for my weekly fix of the scandalous yet fashionable lives of those on the Upper East side, or in this case on the Rive Gauche.

On the Catwalk...Happy 4th of July!

In honor of our country's day of Independence, this post is a little "old school". I'm sure my outfit and the scenery played a part in it as well, but I look like I'm headed to a poolside party in the 70s. Specifically in Hawaii, at least that is what came to mind when I first saw these pics.

My 4th of July outfit:

May I Present Madame Butterfly

Ok so this doesn't really count against the 3 Month Challenge because I used birthday money to buy these babies. But I also bought two casual dresses and a bikini so I guess I failed the challenge. Oh well! I have more exciting motivation to keep me away from shopping, Our Euro Love trip 2011 is in the works and I am sooooo excited! We will start in Paris and in honor of Msr. Louboutin's homeland, may I present the Madame Butterfly Booty

These beauties are from the Fall 2010 collection and I can't wait to wear them! I'm really glad I used my birthday money to buy one thing rather then random small things, this way I will always remember my birthday shoes! I received some other fab birthday gifts that will be shared throughout the summer when I wear them.

So ready for the July 4th Holiday weekend! No idea what we are doing yet, but I know it will include poolside BBQs, a drink in my hand and some fabulous shoes on my feet...

Happy Friday!

The City of Love....Paris

Photobucket

Everyone who has children tells young married couples the same thing..TRAVEL BEFORE YOU HAVE A BABY. With our second anniversary just one month away, the hubs and I have been hearing this for about 2 years. Although we would politely nod our heads yes and mindlessly say "I know" each time we would hear these words of wisdom, I don't think they really sunk into our heads or our way of thinking. I think deep down we both thought we would have no problem leaving our future baby or babies with their grandparents and taking off on a vacation. The reality is that both of our parents have their hands full with their current 4 grandchildren thanks to our sisters. The harsher reality is the fact that our parents are not getting any younger and I just don't think they will have the energy and patience to watch a child for a week or more 24/7.
On an even more personal note, the baby thing is just not happening. I am beginning to at least try and believe that there is a reason for it not happening now and maybe the reason is that we need to pack our bags, renew my passport and go see at least some of the World. Don't get me wrong, I plan to take trips with our children one day, I just don't think toting an infant around sight seeing is ideal.
So I have decided (and by default so has the hubs) that 2011 will be the year we go visit The City of Love, Paris. I haven't been to Paris in 10 years since my mom and I went to celebrate my 18th birthday and high school graduation. Also, I have been dreaming to go back since Mr. Big showed up and finally told Carrie she's "the one" at the end of the Sex and the City television series.

I actually first dreamt of finding a love like that, which I still can't believe I did and now that I have it, I want to go there with him. Life just passes too quickly. I feel that if we keep waiting around for the right time, 10 years are going to pass and we will be looking at each other thinking why didn't we ever go?
So I am taking action! Sure Spring 2011 is still far away, but really it isn't. I am starting my research and trying to narrow down exactly where we should go.

Have any of you ever been to France? Any ideas or tips to share would be greatly appreciated!
