On the Catwalk....Company Gala

Saturday night was my company's 20th Anniversary Gala. It was a great event, the venue was beautiful and the planning committee really did a fabulous job. There were over 500 people in attendence and it's always nice to see everyone dressed up and outside of work.
The whole night flew by very quickly, but hubs my wonderful photographer did manage to take a few quick pics of my outfit.

Fashion's Night Out, LA Part 2

Hi everyone! It has been ages since my last post I know. Before I get into my night at the DVF Fshion's Night Out event, check out the first half of my night on Fashion Face!

So after dragging the hubs around Beverly Center for a few hours and sitting through a fashion show (thank you baby), we headed over to Melrose, to check out the DVF event.

Quite a few people there and more arriving throughout the night. They had a bar set up with Champagne, White wine, water, cupcakes and little appetizers. One of the best food spreads we'd seen all night.

Me sipping Champagne...yes out of a pink can with a pink straw, so cute

Pretty stylish crowd as expected, the sales associates were not as friendly as they normally are but I'm sure they were pretty tired from smiling and greeting all night long.

I was really hoping to buy something, since the invite said there would be a gift with purchase. I was totally disappointed to find out the gift was a DVF eye mask. Sorry but while I appreciate designer goods, I could buy an eye mask from Target for $2.99. If I'm spending over $300, I'd like something a little more fab to keep as a memento of Fashion's Night Out.

Overall, it was a fun and exhausting night. Strutting around in 6 inch heels can be quite a workout.
Hubby's reward for putting up with it all? Going to Hot Wings Cafe for a very late dinner :)

Special thanks to Erika for asking me to do a guest post on Fashion Face.

On the Catwalk...Bridal Shower

Saturday was one of my childhood friend's bridal showers. It was a boiling hot SoCal day and the last thing I wanted to do was get dressed up. But I managed to wear something somewhat airy to prevent fainting on a hot August day.

On the Catwalk....Beach Style

Every summer since I was born has been spent down in the La Jolla Shores. It is really my favorite place in the world and I cry every time we leave. Over 20 years of family memories can do that to you. We just got back and I miss it already. I packed very little, but still managed to mix things up and make it work. Take a look...

DVF Fall Fashion

I love DVF. Season after season she rarely disappoints me. Specifically Fall is always a big hit. The vibrant and rich colors always add some sparkle to what can be a gloomy and grab time of the year. Here are some new Fall pieces that caught my eye.

"Julian" Wrap Dress in Brambles Beet print
Photobucket
Every girl should own at least one DVF wrap dress. In my opinion, they are a wardrobe staple that can be worn for years to come. A wrap dress can be dressed up or down with the right shoes and accessories. A Bonus, I think a wrap dress universally looks good on every body type.

"Heirloom Arturo" Leather Jacket
Photobucket
I can almost feel how yummy and rich this leather must be like. Leave it to DVF to take a military style and give it a feminine twist. I love that it is form fitting and the details are amazing. The brass buttons, double zipper, pockets, stitching...perfection.

"Gunita" printed mini skirt
Photobucket
This skirt looks so fun and I love the colors. It would never look good on me, but I still think it's beautiful. I really like how it's peeking out from under the loose black sweater. Gives it a casual fun feel.

"Tabalah" in Decofly print
Photobucket
I love the Tabalah style that DVF has been bringing back for the past few seasons. I have one from Spring '09, scene here. Again the colors and the print are beautiful. The blues and greens compliment each other perfectly. I'm trying to stay away from blue and green DVF dresses, becasue I own four of them already. Maybe if this one goes on sale, I'll make it five :)

I'm off to La Jolla for 5 relaxing days at the beach. I can't wait to just be there already! Will try my best to post outfits while I'm there, but I may have to wait until I get back next week.

Happy Friday!

On the Catwalk...OC Wedding Style

Photobucket
Saturday we headed down to the Newport Coast for my childhood family friend's wedding. It was truly the most gorgeous wedding I have ever been to. The ceremony and reception were at The Pelican Hill Resort. The view was breathtaking and it couldn't have been more perfect.
Cocktail hour was outside, lots of delicious appetizers going around and of course the champagne was flowing.

Look at the gorgeous sunset!

Yes the dress is the same dress I wore last weekend, but I did not want to buy a new dress. So I decided to glam it up for this special event. Paired with my glitter Louboutin Titi's and some jewelry took the look from day to night. I also want to add that after stretching out the Titi's for a few weeks, they fit so much better and I actually didn't have to slip them off my feet every 5 minutes!

I really should have taken pictures once we got to the reception, but I was too busy downing champagne and dancing the night away with the hubs. We had a fantastic time and got to spend time with old friends I hadn't seen in ages. Hubs took this picture of me as the night was coming to an end...

On the Catwalk...Sunday Style

Sunday was my niece and nephew's Baptism. I had this outfit planned for weeks and I was so excited to finally wear it! I also want to add, that I attempted a DIY up do. I may have fine hair, but I have a lot of it, so this was quite a challenge. Turned out pretty good, but not exactly what I had in mind. Lots of pictures coming up, Hubs was in a camera happy mood!
